Zion

See Isaiah 18. Verse 7.

Mount Zion is the place of the name of the Lord of Hosts! Zion is mentioned many times in places I've been in recently in Psalms, and in other places in the Bible, like around here in Isaiah.

It speaks to me of the close fellowship between Christians including myself and the Lord Jesus. This fellowship brings us spiritually into His presence today, and will bring us to see Him i2i forever! Zion, His presence, is the place of fullness of Joy! One of my chief joys is that He's forgiven my sins, taking them all away!

The LORD hath done great things for us!

Psalm 126:3
The LORD hath done great things for us; [whereof] we are glad.
We have a fruitful place of freedom, called Zion, a place we call our own. Praise the Lord, Immanuel, because He is with us!

Weeping for His Punishment

Isaiah 15:5

My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives [shall flee] unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.
There's a glorious difference between Zion and the nations that aren't the Lord's. In the day of the Lord, we, His people, will greatly rejoice! We will rejoice in His righteousness, and rejoice to see His loving face. But He will punish the wicked, even all of the nations. Isaiah 15 mentions weeping, crying, and howling, again and again.

Oh, that were more zealous for His day! Even to cry for our sins today, that our garments might shine with His Righteousness when He comes!

Our Own Land

Isaiah 14:1
For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
Just like the nation of Israel, we, the Lord's people, have our own land. Praise Him for His mercy! He's the one who's building His Church.

I Will Punish

Isaiah 13:11

And I will punish the world for [their] evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
When I'm lazy and goof off instead of working for the Lord, I have reason to fear. My sin makes the Lord furious.

Oh, praise Him for His mercy, because He's forgiven all of my sins!

Say Thanks

Isaiah 12:4

And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
Polite people say "thank you" all the time. Have you ever said "thank you" to someone for holding the door opened for you? How about in closing an email, letter, or phone conversation? How about if you dropped your car keys, and I picked them up right now and handed them to you? Next time you say "thank you", stop and think.

When's the last time you told the Lord "Thank You"?
How about in public? If I handed you a nice hot cup of coffee, would you carefully wait until there was nobody around, and turn and whisper "thank you" to me?
Isn't it about time you started treating your redeemer with at least as much respect as you treat everybody else? You probably know the Bible says to pray always. Did you know it also says to give thanks always?

Ephesians 5:20

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
If you Love the Lord, I dare you to do these things in public all the time:

  1. Say "Praise the Lord!"
  2. Pray to Him.
  3. Tell people things He's done.
  4. Mention that His name is exalted.
  5. Sing to the Lord loudly!

Jesus will Judge!

Isaiah 11:4
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
If you're name isn't written in the book of life, you'll be cast into the lake of fire! The only way to be saved is to believe on the Lord Jesus!
Here's something you can pray if you believe Jesus:
God, please save me in Jesus' name.
If you trust him and tell him that you trust him, you will have everlasting life!

I will not gaze at glory

Isaiah 10:15

Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? [or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake [itself] against them that lift it up, [or] as if the staff should lift up [itself, as if it were] no wood.
When a bride speaks to others, would it really be Love, for her to boast of her own value?

Shouldn't she boast about the bridegroom instead? Even Jesus came to serve, not to be served. We need to trust that He will lift us up, and we need to be too busy lifting him up, to exalt ourselves.

He will build his Church. We won't build it by aligning all the details of an outward format of meeting.

Instead of inviting people "to Church", invite people to Him!

Jesus is God

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Who was the child that was born, and the son that was given to us, besides Jesus Christ? And so we see that the Christ Child himself is The Everlasting Father, and He is the Mighty God.

Amazing Love

This song is the same tune as the hymn, "There is a fountain filled with blood", but with new lyrics.

Amazing love, has brought Him down To hear my humble cry;
And it is this great boundless love, That made my Savior die!
That made my Savior die, That made my Savior die, And
It is this great boundless love- That made my Savior die.

My sins how great, He washed me clean, Done by his love for me;
He casts them in the deepest sea, Praise God I now am free!
Praise God I now am free, Praise God I now am free,
He Casts them in the deepest sea- Praise God I now am free.

Then by his power He rose again, And sits upon the throne;
There by His love He waits for me, For I've become His own!
For I've become his own, For I've become His own,
There By His love He waits for me- For I've become His own!

Lyrics by Beth Stearn, Used by permission.

Fear Not

Isaiah 7:4
And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

Praise the Lord! When He shows His glory or angels to His servants, many times He has said, "Fear not."

He has a perfect love for us, and never works any ill toward us. His love casts out fear so that we won't be tormented by it!

Don't be Fooled

Isaiah 6:5

Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
These days, we, the Lord's people, want to see Him face to face. The Lord told us these days would come. We won't see Him until after #666 sets himself up like he's God.

#666 has been given the power to make every kind of sign and wonder to trick even the very elect if possible. He'll have power over every nation and tribe and tongue on earth. He'll make fire come down from heaven, and even give life to an image.

There are many deceivers around that say "God is over here in this room," or "the man in that garden over there is the Lord." Don't be fooled. There isn't a single eyeball that won't see The Lord Jesus when He returns. He won't just be like some nice man with supernatural powers. No man can survive seeing God- even believers need transformed bodies before we can be with Him. Before Jesus returns, #666 will rule the world, sitting in the temple on the West Bank in Jerusalem, with every kind of sign and wonder, with apparently unlimited power, claiming to be God Himself. Don't be fooled.

Fruit of Righteousness

Isaiah 5:2
And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

It's not the Lord's fault that His people don't meet together these days. He's given us everything we need to live righteously. Instead of saying "That's not my cup of tea," we need to say "Here am I, send me."

Where do I fit in?

Fellow children of God, Jehovah has given all of us chances to serve himself! Every time you have a chance to help a lost soul, or especially, a sister or brother in the Faith, that chance is your Gift from the Lord! Even if it's only giving a drink of cold water to a little child, you will get a reward that will last forever.

We should freely give what we have. All that we have has been given to us freely by God. Do you have the ability to open your mouth and speak? Where is your prayer out loud, everywhere, and at all times? Where is your preaching of the Gospel, or reading of the Bible? How about giving thanks, or joyfully singing hymns? Men, why aren't you all Teaching the Word? You're a bunch of chickens! You can't be stopped from blabbing about the Super Bowl, but you blush to whisper the name of your redeemer!

"I'm not good enough!" doesn't excuse you. Being the Chief of Sinners didn't excuse Paul. Yes, be made right with your brother first, but, please, don't forget to come back again afterwards and offer your gift! "I don't have the ability!" How convenient that seems to be! You have the tremendous abilities to do very many things that you want to do, but you find yourself unable to lift a finger to the vision and calling the Lord has given you for His Kingdom!

What is the Church?

The Church is all Christians. The Church isn't any 501(c)(3) organization. No physical structure, building, or geographic position is a Church. If you want to be in the Church, believe on Jesus and be saved!

Men can teach, and people can fellowship, break bread, and pray, in any place, and at any time! Wherever 2 or 3 are gathered in Jesus' name, there He is in their midst! You have no excuse to forsake gathering together. You don't need your job, food, or family, as much as you need God's Word!

What is a Christian?

A Christian is a man or woman that has believed on Jesus. If you've ever believed the good news, you're name is written in the Book of Life! The good news is what the Bible says about Who Jesus Is, and what He did.

Jesus is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Ghost in a virgin's womb. He and His Father are one and the same. He came in a human body to die for sinners. He never sinned. He suffered our punishment on the cross for us. He didn't stay dead, but he rose from the dead on the third day!

A Christian doesn't mean a member of a human institution. It doesn't matter how old you are, or where you live. It doesn't matter what denominations or organizations you belong to. Either you're with us Christians, or you're against us!
