rejoice in the Lord

Philippians 3

Key v1

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed [is] not grievous, but for you [it is] safe.

I've been wanting joy lately, and this verse says to "rejoice in the Lord". Rejoice? How can I rejoice? :-) In the Lord, that's how.

Application

My application from this chapter is to request prayer that I would have joy.

From: My Faith Has Found a Resting Place

By Eliza Hewitt, 1891 and Andre Gretry (1741-1813)
My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device or creed;
I trust the ever living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
