delight is with God

Job 34

v9

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

One strong temptation to sin is the idea that the sin would be fun and pleasurable, but that doing what's right would be boring and miserable. It's a problem to think that way, because we can delight ourselves with God, and that's worthwhile.

From: Jesus Loves Even Me

By Philip Bliss, 1870
Though I forget Him, and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms I do flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
