And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all [men], even as we [do] toward you:
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
It is interesting to see that abundant love for people can be the thing that results in holiness. If we want to have holiness in our lives, we should increase how much we care about other people.
Application
v8For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
The writers' very lives were all bound up in the brethren's relationship with the Lord. What kind of thing would you say you can't live without? For example, somebody might say, I can't live without my coffee,
or I can't live without the Internet.
What about other people's stand in the Lord? Do we even care?
I'll pay attention to following up with people who I have preached the gospel to before.
