For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
I think that it is a striking statement that the Lord will forgive us in the same way that we forgive other people. We certainly want the Lord to quickly and completely forgive us for all of our sins. But if we hold a grudge instead of forgiving other people, the Lord will not forgive us either. We should be quick to completely forgive people for the wrong things that they have done to us.
