Key
v12

Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

When we have a hard time of trials and temptations, we should have patience and faith to endure it. We can even rejoice in that (v2), because that will be very good for us, and we will be happy afterwards.

Application

v19
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Sometimes I am tempted to respond angrily to a difficult situation. When I feel like saying something, but I think that I shouldn't, I'll just pray for it specifically and trust God to take care of it.
