v13

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: [so] will we sing and praise thy power.

We should praise the Lord.

He will hear

Psalm 20

v6

Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

I'm very glad to have this promise from the Lord. When I've been praying, the Lord will hear.

wealth for somebody else

1 Corinthians 10

v24

Let no man seek his own, but every man another's [wealth].

When I eat today, I'll pray for the Lord to save a certain person I know of who needs saved.

desire the Lord's Word

Psalm 19

v10

More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

We should desire the Lord's Word.

righteousness, peace, and joy

Romans 14

These are 3 things I really want in my life:

1. righteousness
2. peace
3. joy

Application

v18

For he that in these things serveth Christ [is] acceptable to God, and approved of men.

I'll remember what these 3 things are, and to serve Christ in these things.

I will call upon the LORD

Psalm 18

v3

I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Even if it seems like the Lord doesn't hear me, He does, and I should keep praying.

don't pray fake

Psalm 17

v1

Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, [that goeth] not out of feigned lips.

We should think about what we pray, and make sure it's not fake.
