This is the opposite of what you might think at first, because it's a sorrowful thing to confess our sins. But it's actually the way to have fullness of joy.
Application
I really want to have more joy in my life, so I'll be willing to admit a certain sin that easily besets me:
when I do something wrong out of being bitter towards a certain person.
