v2
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Is there something in our lives, that we love, that the Lord would want us to give up for Him?
v12And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.
When the Lord shows us to give up something in our lives, we shouldn't withhold it from Him.
Application
Part of v3And Abraham rose up early in the morning... and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
The Lord hasn't asked me to make some huge sacrifice like giving up my only son, but I have been thinking that He wants me to make the sacrifice of getting up reasonably early in the morning. It might not seem like a very big deal, but one thing I'll keep focusing on is getting up at the right time in the morning.
