We see later in the Bible, how the children of Israel destroyed many of these Canaanite nations. Then we see that it came true, when Noah cursed Canaan because Ham, the father of Canaan, treated Noah shamefully.
Proverbs 15:20A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
