v12
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
When the Lord judged His people, other countries saw their chance to take their revenge on the Lord's people. The Lord didn't like that, so He used this chapter to tell them that He was going to take His revenge on them.
The Lord is the one who's supposed to repay people for the wrong they've done. We shouldn't take revenge into our own hands. We should leave taking revenge to the Lord.
