Meaning

v5 "Now Jesus loved."
The Bible says that the Lord has a good reason why His children have to get sick, and die.
He has a good reason why we have to wait for Him, and why we have to go through things that make us cry.
The hardest question ever, in the world, is, "Why?"
The answer to that question is Jesus' Love.

We have sicknesses because He Loves us. We suffer death because He Loves us. We wait and wait longer than we thought, and so much longer than we can understand, because He Loves us. Because Jesus Loves us, we have to weep, and go through feelings like we wish we could die.

How can this be? There's something better for us than very life. It's better than health. It's worth waiting for- it doesn't shrink with time, there's no fear it will get away if we don't get it fast. It's so much more important than how we feel and all our feelings.

It's so good that we rejoice to suffer for it. It is *so* good, that the Lord said, "I am glad for your sakes that I was not there," even though, the Lord not being there for days, meant sickness, death, and weeping. So what *is* it? It's something that we can decide to do right now, so it's my application.

Application

v15 "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him." It's believing in the Lord. Believe that He's Who He says He is, and that He will reward us who diligently seek Him.

v27 I want confess The Confession of Belief, to Jesus.

...Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
