sin taken away

Job 14

v17

My transgression [is] sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.

Praise the Lord that we don't have to retain our sin like this.

John 1:29

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

From: Grace Greater than Our Sin

By Julia Johnston, 1911 and Daniel Towner, 1910
Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.

Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

  1. I like the simplicity of this. I can tell that this is a word for the Lord because He used it to directly encourage me about my situation. Thank you.
