Esther 1 - Application

Application

v12

But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by [his] chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.

Like the queen, if we refuse to do what our Lord commands us, we will really miss out. Even when I dread that my work will be boring or unpleasant, I'll remember Esther's boldness and do it for the Lord.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
(I added the emphasis.)
