The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
Lamentations 5 listed many terrible things that happened to the Lord's people, and it seems like it all led up to this climax: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
Do we see our sin as such a terribly woeful thing?
For the wages of sin [is] death...
These things were not written for no reason. All of these things were written for us to learn from, and they apply to us today. Let's consider all these terrible consequences to help us realize our need to be repenting and turning to the Lord from our sins.
v21Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
