v10
Thy mother [is] like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
It was as if the princes of Israel had a mother who was vine.
v12
But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
The fruit reminds me of our modern economy. The strong rods represented scepters for rulers. That reminds me of our election. We could be in for some judgment. As the Lord's people, we should learn not to sin from this judgment that was on Israel.
