My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, [wherewith] I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and [thus] it was, saith the Lord GOD.
Israel used the great things the Lord had provided for them in His love to them to do wrong. When we're tempted to do things that don't please the Lord, we should consider how the Lord has provided the good things we have. For example, He provided our time that we could potentially use in valuable ways. We shouldn't use those precious things for sin.
