Genesis 40 - Outline

Joseph ended up in charge of two of Pharaoh's officers in the prison
the two officers had dreams, and Joseph knew that help to interpret the dreams would come from the Lord
the butler's dream meant good news, that he would be Pharaoh's butler again
Joseph told his innocence and asked for assistance
the baker's dream meant bad news, that he would be executed a terrible way
the dreams came true in 3 days, just like Joseph had interpreted
after all that, the butler forgot to speak up for Joseph

  1. I updated my outline for verses 5-8. It used to say, "the two officers had dreams, and Joseph had the kind of faith that he just knew the Lord would help him interpret the dreams". I made it more of an observation for the outline, and less of an interpretation, because I included interpretation from that section in my "Genesis 40 - Key" post.
