the sufficiency of Christ versus the wisdom of the world
Outline
- v1-3
- this was written for all of us
- v4-9
- the Lord has given us everything we need (like the passage about the landowner who took care of the vineyard)
- v10-13
- we need to all speak the same thing
- v14-17
- the difference between preaching the gospel and baptizing
- v18-31
- the preaching of the cross instead of the disputing of worldly wisdom
Key v30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
I've been seeking the Lord a lot for wisdom and righteousness, but this verse says that Jesus Christ himself is our wisdom and righteousness.
Application
I'll just keep pursuing my relationship with the Lord (in the ways that I already know).
